My name is Barb

My passion is to create desserts which are truly memorable and enjoyable. I needed to be skilled from the best to design the best products. I attended George Brown College and obtained the Baking Arts Certificate. Another influence was my sister, Pat. She made some memorable pies and cookies that inspired me to learn more. My excitement for the Culinary Arts steered me to start a new business venture, Sweetalicious Cakery.

As a nurse, I have developed skills in leadership and communication that I use in my business to better understand my customer needs. The customer comes first. Their feedback and opinions led me to improve, develop and try new products. If you are not satisfied, let me know and I will fix it.

All the baked goods are made in small batches in my commercial kitchen. I am authorized with the Food Handlers Certificate. There are no artificial ingredients or preservatives. I believe in supporting local farmers and small business owners and therefore I will obtain ingredients locally.
